Objects in a number of Acacia trees beside the Murrumbidgee River near Narrandera. I thought they were birds nests but on closer examination they were full of what I thought was sand but maybe not.
We noticed some more along the highway to Hay as we came back east but did not take any photos.
Some of the objects had caterpillar bodies on them so possibly used by them or maybe they were caught by the web. I have just chosen Other Arthropod as a way to post this. We did not see anything moving etc that gave us any idea of what created them or uses them.
