@JonLewis they were under some wood or bark I flipped over, nest in the ground and they werent very fast/attacking.

Hi Hejor, this is probably Iridomyrmex difficilis, a fairly common Iridomyrmex species, but it is very small and hard to get photos good enough to ID with confidence. Cheers, Jon
