X. resinosa occurs as far north as Dudley in Central Coast NSW, and as far inland as the Gardens of Stone National Park.

By contrast, X. glauca subsp. glauca (https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/a16f8a34-1143-4a84-94e8-65ab97a5e727) and X. glauca subsp. angustifolia (https://vicflora.rbg.vic.gov.au/flora/taxon/859faa43-601b-461d-8749-68a83885c008) can be excluded as neither subspecies occur within the bioregion of Carrington Falls.

I also think it is C leptochila, but I haven't seen one without the black calli spots. I can see a leaf in the background of the second photo (probably belonging to another plant in the colony). It looks like there was another plant in the background of the second photo that had been in flower as well, @amarsh , did you notice whether there were any flowers left on that one? If so, were they also missing the spots?

I saw some more Celtis australis on my walk today, but your group will no doubt find them. I did record Ligustrum lucidum (Large-leaved Privet) which is more important to get rid of.

I think this spreads by layering so is not invasive like the seed-spreading Lavandula stoechas. Worth watching, in case I am wrong.
